About the role

About Nox Metals. American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. Nox Metals is building it, along with the tools that run it. We’re a technology company supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.

The role. We’re hiring Weekend Operations Associates to keep orders moving through our Detroit factory. You will support material handling, production, packaging, and shipping based on the needs of the shift. We will train you on the equipment and processes required for your assignment.

Weekend crews own the facility for three long shifts. That requires reliability, strong handoffs, and teammates who solve problems instead of waiting for Monday.

Shift hours:

Weekends, First Shift: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Weekends, Second Shift: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

You will:

  • Follow all safety procedures and hold your teammates to the same standard

  • Receive, stage, move, package, or ship aluminum material as assigned

  • Support saw operations after completing the required training

  • Operate forklifts and lifting equipment after training and certification

  • Verify material, labels, dimensions, and quantities at each handoff

  • Record work and material movements accurately in our software

  • Help the team meet weekend production and shipment commitments

  • Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area

  • Communicate open work and problems clearly to the next shift

  • Complete other tasks as assigned

You are:

  • Available and dependable for the full assigned weekend schedule

  • Serious about safety

  • Flexible and willing to learn multiple floor functions

  • Attentive to detail and comfortable with physical work

  • A steady teammate who takes ownership without constant supervision

  • Comfortable with software or willing to learn

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., operate equipment, and remain on your feet for a full shift with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice to have:

  • Manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or industrial experience

  • Forklift, crane, saw, or machine-operation experience

  • Experience working extended or weekend shifts

  • Experience handling metals

  • Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter

Benefits:

  • Equity in Nox Metals

  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance

About Nox Metals

Factories waste time quoting, sourcing, and cutting aluminum blocks. It's slow, manual, and adds unnecessary overhead. This inefficiency compounds across thousands of jobs, dragging down margins and throughput. We started Nox to automate this layer and unlock speed and scale for modern manufacturing.
