Commissions Analyst Role Summary The Commissions Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, calculation, validation, and reporting of sales commission payments. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Payroll, HR, and Revenue Operations to ensure commission calculations are accurate, timely, compliant with
compensation plans, and clearly communicated to stakeholders. Key
Responsibilities Calculate, validate, and process commission payments in accordance with approved sales
compensation plans and payout schedules. Review commissionable transactions, bookings, revenue, quota attainment, credits, adjustments, and exceptions to ensure accurate payouts. Research and resolve commission inquiries, disputes, and statement questions from sales representatives and sales leadership. Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Payroll, HR, and Accounting to reconcile data and support timely commission processing. Maintain commission data, plan documents, participant eligibility, territory assignments, quota information, and crediting rules. Prepare monthly and quarterly commission reporting, variance analysis, accrual support, and payout summaries for business stakeholders. Perform audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity, policy compliance, and adherence to internal controls. Support
compensation plan implementation, system testing, process documentation, and annual plan rollout activities. Identify opportunities to improve commission processes, reporting accuracy, automation, and stakeholder experience. Handle confidential
compensation information with discretion and professionalism. Required
Qualifications This role requires flexibility to work night shifts to support business operations and collaborate with global teams, including overlap with California business hours (8:00 PM–5:30 AM IST, corresponding to 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time) Experience in commissions, sales
compensation, finance, accounting, revenue operations, sales operations, or business analytics. Strong analytical skills with the ability to review large datasets, identify variances, and resolve discrepancies. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, formulas, and data validation. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through. Ability to communicate clearly with sales representatives, managers, and cross-functional partners. Ability to manage deadlines during monthly or quarterly commission cycles while balancing multiple priorities. High level of integrity and discretion when working with sensitive
compensation data. Preferred
Qualifications Experience with commission administration platforms such as Xactly, CaptivateIQ, SAP Commissions, Anaplan, or similar tools. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems. Familiarity with sales
compensation plan design, quota crediting, bookings, revenue recognition, and commission accounting concepts. Experience supporting SOX controls, audit requests, reconciliations, or process documentation. The Commissions Analyst serves as a key point of contact for commission-related questions and helps ensure alignment between
