As we grow, our risk and compliance processes need to evolve with us, staying practical, proportionate, and scalable. This role sits at the centre of Hnry's compliance control environment. You will provide a second line perspective on operational compliance work - reviewing, challenging, and quality assuring the outputs of our compliance operations - while also owning broader compliance responsibilities.
🚀 Responsibilities
- Review and quality-assure the work of compliance operations, including incident investigations, CDD decisions, and regulatory reporting.
- Identify patterns or systemic issues across operations and escalate findings to the Head of Legal & Compliance.
- Track remediation actions through to completion.
- Approve or escalate material compliance decisions before they are actioned.
- Manage the ongoing operation of Hnry’s risk and compliance framework across NZ (and supporting AU, and the UK).
- Prepare and present structured risk reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance.
- Lead periodic control effectiveness reviews and horizon-scan for regulatory change.
- Support the operational oversight of AML and other regulatory processes.
- Oversee and monitor customer due diligence, monitoring, and related processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and coordinate required regulatory reports and disclosures, ensuring appropriate internal review and approval prior to submission.
