Job Family: Patient Account Representative Travel Required: None Clearance Required: None What You Will Do: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties related to processing of overpayments made to UAB Hospital/PFS. Such duties may include, but are not limited to: Processes returned refunds Routes insurance payer requests for processing Assists team with prepping/mailing of overpayments Communicates issues to management timely Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisors What You Will Need: High school diploma or equivalent 0-2 years of prior relevant experience What Would Be
Nice to Have: Two years of related experience and general knowledge of payor-specific or medical specialty billing. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
