Cellbyte is hiring an AI Engineer Intern / Working Student to join a small, talent-dense team in Munich to help build production AI and data systems that power customer-facing products; this role offers hands-on experience with LLM pipelines, data engineering, and product-quality evaluation in an ambitious startup environment. You'll work closely with senior engineers and founders to design, implement, and monitor end-to-end solutions that matter to customers. What you'll do • Develop LLM-based extraction pipelines, including prompting, parsing, and producing structured outputs. • Build and monitor data ingestion and ETL workflows to keep pipelines reliable. • Write Python code for data cleaning, validation, and automation tasks. • Perform LLM evaluations and quality checks to measure and improve outputs. • Shape end-to-end solutions to solve real-world customer problems. • Collaborate with senior engineers and founders on customer-facing systems. • Learn how to build real AI and data systems in production through hands-on work. • Contribute in-person from Cellbyte’s Munich office as part of a high-ownership team. What Cellbyte is looking for • Currently studying Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field, with strong CS fundamentals. • Comfortable with Python and basic SQL for data manipulation and scripting. • Interest in LLMs, extraction pipelines, ETL, and production data systems. • Enjoys breaking down ambiguous problems and figuring out pragmatic solutions. • Eager to learn quickly, ship real things, and take ownership in a fast-moving startup. • Able and willing to work in-person in Munich and legally permitted to work in Germany.
