About Roebling Roebling is building an AI-native engineering solutions company focused on industrial infrastructure. We turn traditional engineering services, from early feasibility studies through FEL-3 project planning, into software-defined solutions, and will progressively increase the capability of our platform and AI agents to support delivery of our solutions. We envision a future where engineering services are delivered through the guiding of outcomes in a next-generation system, instead of through the current manual management of the design processes. Generative systems will handle the bulk of manual project design tasks, with engineers and designers transitioning away from juggling between spreadsheets, drafting tools, costing engines, and process simulation systems and associated teams to reviewing and selecting generated solutions, tuning input parameters, and optimizing the system level. Our goal is to enable faster and better decision-making and scope definition at a significantly reduced cost for customers through a 10x time reduction in engineering workflows. About This Job As a Sr. Process Engineer at Roebling, you will be a key part of our Engineering Solutions Team. You will lead small project teams through client engagements, owning the process modeling, technoeconomic analysis, and other process engineering workstreams our clients need to inform strategic and capital decisions, enabled by our next-generation industrial planning and feasibility platform. You will work closely with client teams to translate their needs into robust, decision-grade models delivering actionable insights. You will routinely coordinate with the product development team, sharing real-world modeling constraints,
requirements, and feedback to enable continued growth and improvement of the platform while focusing on delivery for the client. The ideal candidate is an experienced process engineer with strong expertise in process modeling, cost estimating, and technoeconomic analysis. You bring sound engineering judgment and a proven track record leading client engagements. You operate effectively in ambiguous environments and you don’t shy away from uncertainty. You communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both internal teams and clients, and can carry multiple engagements at once. Roebling’s Sr. Process Engineer will report to the Director of Process Engineering and work closely with other members of
the team across the business.
What You'll Do Lead client engagements end to end, owning the scope, execution, and final quality of engineering deliverables Guide the project team in planning and execution, and review the work for correctness, consistency, and technical soundness before it reaches the client Engage the client to understand their needs and define
requirements, resolve questions, and present findings, translating client
requirements into modeling approaches that produce clear, decision-grade deliverables Develop and deliver process definition, heat and mass balances, equipment sizing and specification, and integrated CAPEX, OPEX, and financial analysis Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to surface cost drivers and key uncertainties, guiding the clients’ focus to the decisions that matter Apply consistent standards, assumptions, methodologies, and tools across client engagements to drive both technical rigor and efficiency Onboard clients to the platform and train them to operate their models independently Coordinate with product team to relay constraints,
requirements, and client feedback to unblock client work and enable continuous improvement without losing focus on execution Competencies Must-have BS or higher in Chemical Engineering, or a related process engineering field 5+ years minimum (10+ preferred) relevant process engineering and process modeling experience Experience leading teams in client-facing or consulting engagements including executing, directing, and reviewing the work and managing multiple concurrent projects Strong expertise in developing process models, including heat and material balances, equipment sizing, and process flow definition Strong expertise with early-stage project development (FEL), technoeconomic analysis, and capital cost estimation Solid understanding of core process engineering unit operations and industrial process design principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders from the shop floor to the C-suite Nice-to-have Deep familiarity with process modeling methodologies and process simulation software (e.g., AspenPlus, Aspen HYSYS, PRO II, DWSIM, APS, or similar) Real, hands-on process engineering experience in capital project execution Real, hands-on process engineering experience in operating facilities
