Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Project Manager to support VA construction oversight at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Bay Pines, FL. The PM serves as BISI's primary point of contact to the VA Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and is responsible for overall project coordination, financial monitoring, schedule management, and documentation throughout a 600-calendar-day construction period supporting EHRM infrastructure upgrades.
Duties
include monitoring project financial data using Earned Value Management; reviewing GC monthly pay applications and reporting budget vs. obligation status to the COR; maintaining and analyzing construction schedules using Critical Path methodology; facilitating and documenting weekly and bi-weekly progress meetings; managing the submittal and RFI process; supporting change order development and claims analysis; coordinating testing, inspection, and commissioning activities; and delivering all required reports including the Project Management Plan, weekly summaries, bi-weekly Project Tracking Reports, and cost estimate reviews on required timelines. The PM oversees two on-site Construction Managers and ensures all contract personnel maintain required PIV credentials, training certifications, and VA system access.
Minimum Qualifications
4-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management plus 5 years of relevant PM experience, OR 10 years of relevant experience with PMP or FAC-PPM certification. OSHA 30-hour certification required (within last 5 years). Experience with budget control, construction scheduling, and quality management required. Experience with hospital IT/low voltage infrastructure, healthcare facility construction (VA preferred), active hospital infection control, and project phasing to maintain hospital operations strongly preferred. Florida construction experience preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a VA PIV card.
