We are building a magnetic biosensor detection system from first principles and seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead the design of our magnetic sensing architecture. You will own the architecture and development of the magnetic detection system, including:
- Magnetoresistive sensor array specification and integration
- Low-noise analog front-end development
- Multiplex readout architecture
- PCB design and board bring-up
- Noise analysis and SNR optimization
- Calibration and system validation strategy
- Integration with mechanical and software systems
This is a hands-on role with significant architectural ownership. The role is based out of our beautiful 9,000 sqft office & lab in San Francisco.

Responsibilities
- Define sensor performance specifications (sensitivity, noise floor, bandwidth, array density)
- Design low-noise amplification and signal conditioning circuitry
- Develop multiplexed readout electronics for large sensor arrays
- Architect magnetic biasing and excitation schemes
- Perform noise modeling (thermal, 1/f, magnetic, environmental)
- Lead PCB layout and board-level validation
