About the role
We are looking for an Employee Benefits/ERISA Attorney with 2-10 years of experience to join our established practice. We are seeking a proactive and outgoing individual who is passionate about this niche area of law. This is a unique succession opportunity to take over a significant book of business from a retiring partner in a market with very little competition.
What will you be doing?
- Work directly with the department head to service a large, established client base in ESOPs and ERISA matters.
- Draft and amend a variety of plan documents, including ESOPs, 401(k)s, and profit-sharing plans.
- Advise clients on ERISA compliance, fiduciary duties, and plan corrections.
- Support M&A transactions by handling benefits due diligence and plan transitions.
- Build client relationships with the goal of eventually leading the practice and inheriting a substantial book of business.
