Account Executive, Enterprise/Strategic AI

San Francisco, CA

About the role

Procore is pivoting the company to AI, and this team sells it. The AI Account Executive is a technical seller who can prospect, owns the conversation about what Procore AI and Datagrid can do for a customer, scopes it technically and commercially so it fits, sells it, and can communicate and support delivery and renewal. You carry a revenue number. You win it by being the most credible technical person in the room which gives you the best understanding of the commercial levers that align to value and ROI vs cost and by setting expectations for the product that you know it can meet.

Over time the role could grow into a bow-tie seller that sells, scopes, closes, and implements for maximum personal performance both on the front end and back end of the customer journey. Find, hunt, farm.

This position is based in our San Francisco, CA and is Hybrid. This position will report to the Senior Director of our AI Sales Team. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you will do

  • Identify people and companies across the Built Economy that are ready to be early adopters and leaders in AI for their business.
  • Run discovery with GC, specialty contractor, and owner executives to understand their workflows, documents, systems, and teams.
  • Qualify deals on a named workflow, an owner, a measurable result, and data the product can reach.
  • Place customers on crawl, walk, or run, map their needs to the standard agents and packages, and size the credit plan.
  • Build the business case in the customer's own pain of hours and/or rework, and present it alongside your Procore partners on the account team.
  • Get alignment on commercial terms, technical approach, and business case before signature.
  • Show the product working on the customer's own documents. Capable of configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting standard agents without engineering help.
  • Decide when a deal stays in the box and when it does not, and scope anything outside it only if you could implement it yourself.
  • Potentially stay engaged through after go live so credits are used and value is realized, and set up the renewal and expansion.
  • Document what repeats so the next deal and the next resource can move faster. Feed anything built twice back to product.

What we’re looking for:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience preferred
  • 3+ years in forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, or AI engineering, with experience shipping agents, retrieval, or data pipelines to paying customers
  • Technical proficiency in Python or TypeScript, with the ability to read Procore, ERP, and complex document data structures
  • Strong customer presence with the ability to lead discussions with construction executives, listen actively, and translate technical concepts into business terms
  • Consultative, pragmatic approach—transparent about product limitations and inclined to leverage standard product capabilities over custom builds
  • Strong cross-functional ownership, with the ability to influence without authority, share learnings, and take full accountability for revenue outcomes
  • Commitment to end-to-end commercial success, driving deal scoping, post-sale credit utilization, and account renewal/expansion rather than just closing
  • Construction domain knowledge (RFIs, submittals, estimating), prior quota-carrying or presales experience, or a consulting background in both sales and delivery preferred
