You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment designing, building, and implementing best-in-class integrations to accelerate how project44 connects to the world’s logistics networks. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></p> <p><strong>Key accountabilities: What you’ll work on</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and operate backend systems that power decision intelligence capabilities, using AI and analytics to help customers make informed, timely, and confident supply chain decisions</li> <li>Build services and workflows that reduce manual effort and enable action, empowering customers to collaborate more effectively with carriers and partners across the supply chain</li> <li>Own and modernize core platform services, such as identity and access management (IAM) and search infrastructure, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, and extensible as new decision intelligence capabilities are introduced</li> <li>Transform large-scale logistics data into actionable insights and outcomes, supporting use cases such as recommendations, decision support, and automated actions</li> <li>Partner closely with product, data, and design to translate ambiguous customer problems into well-scoped, scalable technical solutions</li> <li>Build and operate systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging managed services to deliver reliable and scalable backend solutions</li> <li>Take shared ownership of development, testing, deployment, and operations for the systems owned by your team</li> <li>Participate in a team on-call rotation, debugging and resolving issues across your team’s services</li> <li>Improve observability, monitoring, and operational tooling to ensure system reliability and a strong on-call experience</li> <li>Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and documentation, helping set a high bar for quality and maintainability within

the team</li> <li>Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions through design docs, discussions, and reviews, and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners</li> <li>A strong analytical approach to problem-solving, with comfort navigating ambiguity and making tradeoffs explicit</li> <li>A sense of ownership, curiosity, and resilience - comfortable voicing ideas, incorporating feedback, and iterating toward better solutions</li> </ul> <p><strong>

Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ years of professional experience building large-scale, cloud-based systems</li> <li>Strong programming and debugging skills with proficiency in Java</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience in:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Designing and building scalable Java-based microservices</li> <li>Designing and consuming APIs and web services (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger)</li> <li>Working with databases, including NoSQL and/or relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Postgres, or similar)</li> <li>Working in an Agile software development environment</li> <li>Using AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, and debugging (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar)</li> <li>Integrating AI-assisted workflows into daily development while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and correctness</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable and helpful (but not necessary) are experience in:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Building event-driven systems and stream-processing pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar)</li> <li>Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)</li> <li>Designing or working with agentic AI systems, including multi-step or autonomous LLM-powered workflows</li> <li>Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks or patterns (e.g., task planning, tool invocation, stateful agents, workflow orchestration)</li> <li>Building platform or framework-level solutions that enable AI-driven automation and decision-making</li> </ul> <p><strong data-start="262" data-end="285">Work Authorization:</strong> Candidates must be authorised to work in the US without current or future employer-sponsored visa support.</p> <p><span data-contrast="auto"><strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335551550":6,"335551620":6,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"><u>In-office Commitment:</u> </span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335551550":6,"335551620":6,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}">Our office is where ideas spark, connections thrive, and innovation comes alive.
