About the role
General Analysis is a security research lab focused on adversarial simulations, evaluations, and runtime protection. We are based in San Francisco and work across research, engineering, and product.
As a Software Engineer, you will own end-to-end development of our platform for safety and reliability testing. You will be responsible for designing and building out complex agentic systems and the user platform to access these capabilities, and interfacing directly with customers to build features and meet their needs.
You may be a good fit if
- You deliver fast prototyping and iterate quickly.
- You can architect systems at a high level and exercise judgement to make pivotal design choices.

Som problems you'll work on:
- Building red-teaming / attacker agents — infrastructure for serving the attacker models and communicating with target agents
- On-device agents that monitor traffic and enforce policies on employee devices
- Training guardrail models, post-training of open source models
- Dynamic test cases for security scenarios
- Lowering latency of policy enforcement pipelines
