Design Engineer

We are looking for a Design & Front-end Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help drive design systems end to end at Inkeep — from product to brand. You'll directly shape our new docs and CMS product, OpenKnowledge, reporting directly to the CEO, and defining how the product looks, feels, and behaves across every surface an end-user touches while working on novel user interaction and design problems. You’ll also lead the way in defining the systems and processes that enable our engineering team to ship at scale while maintaining a high bar for design excellence. This is a rare opportunity to help build a design function from scratch along with other builders who similarly care deeply about craft and creating delightful products.

• Own product design end-to-end— designing experiences for how developers and teams create and collaborate on content, orchestrate and co-work with AI agents, and more.
• Creating creative content that best highlights and tells stories about our product: including social media assets, landing pages, video content, and more.
• Establishing a visual language and brand that extends from product to social media: shaping typography, color, layouts, microinteractions, motion, voice, and more.
• Translating that visual language into a design system useful for engineers and AI systems alike - creating the components, tokens, documentation and code-first infra needed to ensure quality and consistency across all product and marketing surfaces.
