Your role Lunar-X is a Berlin-based digital media company operating several assets across YouTube and functional music. Music Labs has the mission to establish dominant catalogue positions in passive-listening verticals - baby sleep, lofi, ambient, gaming music, and more. We operate at the intersection of music curation, distribution, and data-driven performance marketing. Our music business has grown rapidly by treating playlists as products and paid acquisition as a core commercial lever, not an afterthought. We're now scaling that lever - expanding from Meta-only into TikTok and YouTube, growing ad budgets, and building the operational backbone to make every euro of spend smarter than the last. That's where you come in. You will own paid acquisition for our music business end-to-end. Today, that means Meta. Tomorrow, it means Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Influencer Collabs - and you'll be the person who designs, launches, and scales those new channels from scratch. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will have support but you won't be managing a team. You'll be in the ad accounts daily: briefing creative, reading the data, and making the calls that move our numbers. Key
responsibilities
What you'll own Ad spend management - across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. You'll handle budget planning, channel allocation, campaign architecture, bidding, audience strategy, and scaling decisions. You decide where the next euro goes. Ad creative direction - we have a creative team that will design and produce the assets, but you own the creative strategy and feedback loop. Write strong briefs, evaluate variants, manage external producers/freelancers, run systematic creative testing, and translate performance data into the next round of creative. AdOps - pixel and conversion API setup, attribution windows, tracking, audience and exclusion lists, naming conventions, and reporting infrastructure. You own the plumbing that makes everything else work. Channel launch - TikTok and YouTube are net-new for us. You'll build the account structure, define the test framework, set success criteria, and bring these channels to maturity. This is the most impactful 90-day deliverable in
the role. Reporting and POV - delivering clean weekly reports and monthly readouts to leadership, backed by a clear point of view on what’s working, what isn’t, and what we need to try next. What you add to our crew
What we're looking for Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on paid acquisition experience at a consumer-facing business (D2C, subscription, app, content, e-commerce). Agency experience welcome if you've been the embedded operator on major accounts. Proven Meta Scale: You have personally managed Meta budgets at meaningful scale and can talk fluently about what you tested, what failed and what scaled. Multi-channel exposure: You've scaled revenue on either TikTok Ads Manager or YouTube/Google Ads (ideally both) in a real commercial context. Systematic creative testing: You don't just "try different hooks." You can describe a structured creative testing framework you’ve run, backed by data and learnings. Tech & Ops literacy: You are comfortable setting up pixels, Conversion APIs, attribution windows, and landing page integrations from scratch. You don't wait for someone else to fix the plumbing. A relentless troubleshooter: When a campaign underperforms, tracking breaks, or a funnel drops off, you dig in. You can systematically isolate the issue (creative, tech, or UX) and fix it yourself. Commercial mindset: You understand that paid acquisition only matters if it drives profitable growth. You hold yourself accountable to CAC, LTV, and bottom-line impact. Language: Fluent English. German is a plus, but not required. What would set you apart Long-term growth thinking - Experience with subscription, app, or content models where you’ve had to look beyond day-7 ROAS and optimize for long-term LTV and payback periods. 0-to-1 channel launch - A proven track record of taking a net-new ad channel from scratch to meaningful, profitable spend. Compensation in the €65–80k base range depending on experience plus performance-based variable tied to targets you can directly influence. Total target
compensation in the €75–90k range depending on performance. Hybrid setup: 2–3 days in-office per week.
