The Role
We’re looking for a Founding Software Engineer to join us at the ground floor. You’ll work directly with the founders and design partners to build core infrastructure and shape the future of the product. This is a unique opportunity to join a venture-backed startup early, influence both technology and company culture, and help define how alternative investment managers operate in the next decade.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable solutions to standardize data management across asset classes.
- Develop infrastructure for ingesting, transforming, and analyzing structured and unstructured investment data.
- Partner directly with customers to understand workflows and translate them into product features.
- Shape Rengo AI’s technical culture, hiring, and roadmap alongside the founders.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in building backend and API systems using technologies such as Python, Java, or Go.
- A collaborative approach to building products with both engineers and business stakeholders.
- Strong passion for technology and continuous learning, with a focus on personal and professional growth.
- Values rapid prototyping and iterative development, incorporating user feedback to drive improvements.
