In this strategic role, you'll shape AI development tools while laying the foundation for our growing design organization. You bring a proven ability to lead complex UX initiatives and elevate design quality across complex product surfaces. Your technical design sensibility will elevate tools used daily by AI engineers. And your leadership experience will help establish processes and standards for future team growth. You are a natural collaborator and an excellent communicator, able to develop and present design ideas in a larger cross-functional team context: Engineering, Product, and Marketing. You thrive in highly collaborative environments and work closely with Engineering and Product to ensure strong execution quality. As part of a scaling product team, We hold a high bar for craft across interaction, visual design, usability, and systems thinking, and expect this role to raise that bar across the product. Naturally, you'll be able to make key strategic decisions with us, besides your everyday work: Craft and map elegant user flows, prototype smooth interactions, launch new product features. You will also contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability across surfaces. Ideally, you are biased toward long-term and keep your eyes on priorities, are used to self-managing projects you take ownership over from start to finish and know how to involve others outside your role. You are a fast learner who can quickly ramp in complex technical domains and independently build context around AI and developer workflows. Requirements 7+ of experience in a professional software product-driven environment. Advanced skills in UX and interaction design Experience building developer tools, IDEs, infrastructure platforms, or data products Demonstrated experience building, scaling, or significantly contributing to a production design system, including component architecture and cross-product consistency Experienced in user research Technical enough to learn about the needs of our users Can consume and interpret user interaction data Experience designing complex software used daily by technical users Love thinking through complex interaction design problems Get excited about being immersed in the AI ecosystem and defining how tooling for AI services should look and behave Enjoy tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into a clear vision Excellent communication and storytelling skills. Creative problem-solving. Preferably with a systematic, long-term approach. Experience with data-informed design.
