We are looking for a highly motivated Material Handler I to join our team! This opportunity is an onsite full-time contracting position based in our Fremont, CA office. How You’ll Contribute Inspect incoming deliveries for damage and any unsafe conditions before unloading material from truck Perform receipt functions and check all material documentation ensuring accuracy, confirming counts, weights, measures and purchase order number, matching delivery to the purchase order
requirements Maintain and file the shipment receiving documents as records of each receipt Maintain the receiving area clean and clear, removing any accumulation of received materials in an orderly and timely manner Perform material picking operations to create material kits per work order system and transact material issues in company computer ERP system in a timely manner and ensure the ERP material transactions are completed at time of shipment Label and package incoming material for appropriate storage in the designated stockroom locations Run daily cycle count and reconciliation of material to meet inventory accuracy objectives Accurately prepare documentation for shipping packages and containers for domestic or international destinations; ensuring address labels, shipping account details, packing lists, international customs documents are complete and accurate for the type of shipment Liaise with internal functions such as receiving, IQA, purchasing, material planning, manufacturing, and engineering with regard to the receipt or dispatch of expedited items Follow Ultima Genomics safety policies and procedures Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience in a shipping or receiving role preferred Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) Proficient in using PLM and ERP, NetSuite experience desired Forklift Certification preferred High degree of business ethics and accountability Very detail oriented and focused on transactions accuracy Mindset focused on customer service (both internal and external) Ability to tackle daily tasks with a real sense of priority and urgency Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to stand, bend, crouch, push/pull, lift/move/carry (up to 50 lbs lifting required individually and team lifting up to 75 lbs) #LI-Onsite Ultima Genomics is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
