About the role
We're looking for a Founding Engineer to help design and own the core agent systems that make Applied Labs’ AI reliable—things like orchestration, planning, and memory—then ship and iterate on them rapidly with the founders. You'll build the backbone of Applied’s agent platform, ensuring it scales, performs, and doesn’t break under real-world edge cases.

- Own core agent systems from idea to production: orchestration, tool‑use, planning, memory, evals.
- Architect for reliability: design agent loops and guardrails that hold up under real‑world edge cases.

- Collaborate tightly with the founders in NYC to set product direction, quality bars, and engineering culture.
