About the role
We are looking for a Principal Product Engineer with 7+ years of experience to lead the architecture and integration of our two core platforms. We need a hands-on, self-starting leader who has scaled early-stage startups and is passionate about building AI-driven products. This role is critical to accelerating our product roadmap and building an AI-first system to merge our separate data worlds. What will you be doing?
- Lead the architectural vision to connect our two separate platforms, Tracks and Enterprise, creating a unified data ecosystem.
- Spend approximately 90% of your time as a hands-on individual contributor, coding across our full stack (Kotlin, Next.js, Flutter).
- Mentor engineers across two teams, helping to define technical specs and drive best practices.
- Spearhead the development of new AI-powered features, focusing on translating unstructured data into structured insights.
- Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to influence the product roadmap and technical strategy.
Product Roadmap:
- Turning Tracks, our farm accounting solution, into a farm operations platform. Collecting field map data, logging activity to a certain field, with multi-user input (think farm help, logging activity as well as managers).
- Enterprise Mapping field data, questions based on field location, connecting field data in enterprise to field data in tracks. LLM & AI: Taking field/activity log notes (unstructured data) and turning it into structured data that can be shared across multiple enterprise partners (A farmer should never have to answer the same question twice - and shouldn't have to answer a question if the answer is already in the stored data).
