Position Overview Eon is seeking an experienced Sales Engineering Manager to lead our technical sales team and drive revenue growth for our cloud infrastructure backup solutions. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between our cutting-edge technology and customer needs, leading a team of sales engineers while personally engaging with target accounts. Key
Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of sales engineers Define and track key performance metrics for the sales engineering team Partner with GTM leadership to develop and execute technical sales strategies Conduct technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers to understand their cloud backup, disaster recovery, and data protection
requirements Create TCO analyses for customers and collaborate with account managers to optimize proposals Lead technical evaluations for strategic opportunities Serve as a trusted technical advisor to C-level executives and IT leaders at target accounts Collaborate with solution architects, product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product roadmap Develop technical sales collateral, demos, and enablement materials Stay current on industry trends in cloud infrastructure, backup technologies, and competitive landscape
Qualifications 8+ years in sales engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), selling technical cloud SaaS products to enterprise customers Experience with data protection, business continuity, compliance
requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2), and RPO/RTO concepts Proven track record of building and managing high-performing technical sales teams Strong ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close enterprise deals Exceptional presentation and communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Passion for solving customer problems and delivering exceptional experiences Ability to travel up to 30-40% for customer meetings and team events Salary range: $160K-$205K
