We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help design, build, and operate the core systems behind our modern credit and lending platform. We are seeking an experienced engineer who is comfortable working on money movement, ledgering, and stateful financial systems. This person will bring their expertise to a foundational role, helping to set the technical direction as we scale our business and navigate new regulatory requirements. You will have an outsized impact on our products and help us continue building our strong, fast-growing business.

What will you be doing?

Design and implement core backend services for lending, payments, and account state, taking meaningful ownership over these systems.
Own and evolve ledgering systems that track balances, interest, and obligations with strong invariants.
Design event-driven architectures and orchestration workflows across asynchronous services, ensuring systems are correct, observable, and resilient.
Build idempotent APIs, consumers, and jobs to safely handle retries and partial failures in a transactional environment.
Operate services end-to-end, including standing up new services, deploying, monitoring, debugging, and improving reliability in an AWS environment.
