About the role
What you’ll be doing:
As a technical intern at Karmen, you’ll contribute to our AI scheduling assistant, helping construction teams build and update schedules so projects stay on track. You will work closely with the founders and have a high degree of ownership and responsibility.
We have a diverse range of challenges to tackle at Karmen, so expect to wear many hats! During your internship. You could be working on:
- Designing and shipping new user-facing features end-to-end.
- Developing our LLM-powered scheduling agents.
- Improving our document processing pipeline by training computer vision models.
- Building new integrations with construction management tools.

Qualifications
- Studying or recently graduated in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with full-stack web development using React/NextJS or a similar framework.
- Familiarity with building applications/agents with language models.
- Proficiency with TypeScript/Python.
Bonus
- Strong understanding of algorithms, particularly graph theory.
- Knowledge of computer vision models.
- Familiar with deploying containerised applications on cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Comfortable with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Familiar with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
