About the role
We are looking for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer with 7-12 years of experience to join a lean, rockstar engineering team building the agentic AI platform that's transforming how real estate operators handle communications across sales, support, and operations. Uniti AI just closed an unannounced Series A ($10M+ total raised) and has 6-7x'd revenue in the past year — you'll help scale the eng team from 6 to 12+ while shipping fast on a product that already autonomously handles 77.5% of client support interactions.
What will you be doing?

Own and ship major features across the full stack (backend-leaning) for Uniti's omnichannel AI agents spanning email, SMS, WhatsApp, web chat, and voice

Make key architecture and infrastructure decisions — design decision records, evaluate tradeoffs, and build scalable systems on AWS

Work directly with the CTO and founders to shape product direction and technical strategy in fast, weekly development cycles

Pair program and build with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) as a core part of your daily workflow

Contribute across the entire stack as needed — no siloed roles; the team shuffles priorities weekly based on what matters most
Key Requirements

7-12 years of production software engineering experience — must be a strong IC who wants to build, not manage

Production experience with Python (primary backend language); TypeScript/React exposure is a plus but backend is the priority

Proficient with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) — this is tested in the technical interview

Experience at recognizable companies (top Big Tech, well-known startups) and/or strong founder/CTO background
