About The Role:
Birches Health is seeking a Director of Clinical Quality to lead clinical quality assurance, documentation excellence, treatment fidelity review, and provider quality improvement initiatives across our virtual behavioral health programs. This role is responsible for monitoring clinical quality, supporting payer and state contract compliance, conducting quality reviews, and partnering with Clinical Operations and Clinical Data Analytics to identify opportunities to improve provider performance and clinical outcomes. The Director of Clinical Quality will play a key role in strengthening Birches Health’s quality infrastructure while ensuring consistent, high quality care across the organization. This is a flexible, part-time, fully remote leadership role (24 hours/week) with the opportunity to expand over time as Birches Health continues to grow its employed clinician workforce and quality oversight needs. The position reports directly to the VP of Clinical.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead clinical quality assurance activities, including treatment fidelity reviews, chart audits, and documentation quality monitoring
- Review and investigate provider complaints, grievances, and other clinical quality concerns
- Partner with Clinical Operations and Clinical Data Analytics to monitor provider quality metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support quality improvement initiatives, performance improvement processes for employed providers, and educational feedback for contracted providers
- Assist with oversight of provider compliance with payer requirements, provider manuals, state contracts, and organizational clinical policies
- Support audits and value-based contract quality reporting
Who You Are:
- Active independent clinical license in good standing (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or Licensed Psychologist)
- 3+ years of experience in clinical quality, compliance, or quality improvement leadership with at least 1 year experience working in a behavioral health startup environment
