The Role As a Technical Writer, you’ll be responsible for leading our organization in creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, designing the information architecture for the docs site, recommending the best platform for our documentation needs, and working closely with others in R&D to document new features and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience with cybersecurity concepts, technical writing principles, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation. We believe documentation is a very important part of our product offering, and you’ll have a large impact by structuring our content and guiding contributors to maintain and expand our documentation to deliver a great experience for our users.
What You'll Do Conduct user research to identify documentation needs and improve the usability of documentation Collaborate with others in R&D to understand our product functionality and use cases Create guidance material for engineers to more effectively and efficiently contribute to documentation Collaborate with marketing to develop a consistent product naming architecture and style guide to be used across all marketing, product, and documentation surfaces Edit and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with company style guidelines Create release guides and announcement posts to support new version releases
What We're Looking For Previous experience working at a startup where change is commonplace Previous experience working remotely where you proactively collaborated with coworkers Previous exposure to some of the following technologies: Networking and protocols Browser based authentication TLS and certificate management Common Linux commands and functionality Containerization Kubernetes Major cloud providers Terraform Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging documentation Self-starter who is comfortable working independently What We Offer Competitive
