We are looking for a Sales Strategy & Planning Manager with 4+ years of experience to build our sales planning and analytics function from the ground up at one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the world. You'll be the engine behind how our GTM org operates — owning forecasting, territory design, quota setting, and compensation planning as we scale from 120 to 200+ people this year. This is a founding role on a team that's selling into massive inbound demand, partnering closely with sales leadership and RevOps to bring structure and predictability to a motion that's growing faster than most companies dream of. Ideal candidates have a consulting or finance background combined with startup experience and are comfortable being a team of one who builds before they manage.
What will you be doing?
Own and build the entire forecasting process — giving leadership a clear, accurate picture of where the business will land each quarter
Design territory structures and quota models for both enterprise (Top 200 accounting firms) and the new mid-market in-house motion being stood up
Drive pipeline health and accuracy — ensuring Salesforce data is clean and leadership has real-time visibility into deal progression
Build and administer sales compensation plans aligned to company goals as the GTM team rapidly scales (40+ new hires planned this year)
Partner closely with RevOps and present regularly to the executive team on sales performance, capacity planning, and strategic recommendations
We started Basis with the core belief that agents would become an integral part of knowledge work in the near future, and that accounting would be among the first and most important domains where this happened. Accounting is structured, high-stakes, and essential to every business on earth. It's also one of the most underbuilt areas in technology.
Here we are 3 years later, and Basis can now complete a partnership tax workbook end to end. Basis' abilities improve monthly and the rate of improvement itself is increasing. Every day accountants use Basis to create complex journal entries, debug difficult reconciliations, prepare technical accounting memos, and much more. We're deploying real agents to do real work in the real economy.
The world is going to look very different in 2030, and accounting will be at the center of that transformation in ways most people don't yet appreciate. Read more about how we're thinking about the work.
