Requirements A full stack engineer, comfortable working across the stack with a natural lean toward frontend , (Desirable) Some exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Datadog) is a plus , Someone who goes beyond pure engineering - you take an interest in product decisions, ask why something is being built, and care about what you're shipping and who it's for , Comfortable owning well-scoped features from brief through to production, with support from senior engineers and product when needed , Growing experience delivering software features end-to-end - you've shipped meaningful work and are hungry to take on more ownership , Opinionated about product quality - you flag UX issues when you spot them, ask questions when scope feels off, and advocate for the end user , Confident working with databases, data modelling, and cloud environments (AWS) What the job involves You will play a hands-on role in scoping and building products at Volteras - an API platform connecting fleet operators, utilities and insurers to real-time electric vehicle data, scaling globally in a fast-moving market , As a Mid-Level Product Engineer you will work closely with the Head of Product and senior engineers, sitting at the intersection of product and engineering - contributing to priorities, delivering features, and writing code , You will work within a small squad through structured delivery cycles, taking well-scoped features from brief to production and growing toward owning larger pieces of work independently ,
The role is full stack in practice, with a frontend lean - you'll be building features across the stack, working primarily in modern web technologies alongside cloud infrastructure (AWS) , You will contribute to roadmap discussions and scoping sessions with the Head of Product, bringing an engineering perspective to product decisions , The ideal candidate enjoys building with purpose - someone energised by writing clean, well-tested code and by understanding the product thinking behind it, with an appetite to grow into greater product and technical ownership
