About the role
Designed with security at its core and built on the principles of Zero Trust, Windows 365 ensures that information is secured and stored in the cloud, not on the device. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Windows 365 team, you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience at both the business and technology levels. This role will allow you to broaden your knowledge of desktop virtualization and delve into technical areas including Windows, Office, and our cloud-based management suite, while also driving product improvements into Azure Virtual Desktop. In this role, you will: Be part of a team of talented and motivated engineers, working collaboratively to plan, design, implement, and deliver high-quality features. Contribute to intelligent experiences area that improve customers' productivity and efficiency by applying mainstream AI capabilities to meaningful product scenarios. Author architecture/component designs, implement code, and debug issues, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable solutions. Uphold high standards throughout the entire engineering cycle, from requirement analysis to production live service response, by incorporating innovative mechanisms and practices. Tackle the most challenging technical problems within your team's scope, demonstrating your problem-solving skills and technical expertise. Provide support, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior engineers within your team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python or equivalent experience. 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and shipping applications and/or services. Solid hands-on experience with AI agent, Copilot or related AI technologies, with the ability to apply AI to solve problems and improve engineering productivity. Excellent technical design skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive large scale system designs for commercial projects or products. Proficiency in English, with solid written and verbal communication skills. Proactive and ambitious individual with a self-motivated attitude. Growth mindset, with the ability to adapt to changes and deal effectively with ambiguity. Familiarity with data analysis, machine learning, AI agent, Copilot or AI related technologies. Solid coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming language paradigms. Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and across groups. Expertise in developing large scale services or cloud native services is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of relational databases, distributed systems, and/or big data technologies. Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure related technologies.
