Key
responsibilities include negotiating customer contracts, channel agreements, strategic partnerships, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.</p>
<h3>What Will You Do?&nbsp;</h3>
<p>Primary
responsibilities include<strong>:&nbsp;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Take full ownership of commercial legal matters and strategic initiatives from start to finish, rather than managing only specific tasks within a deal.</li>
<li>Negotiate complex, high-value agreements with customers, channel partners, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders.</li>
<li>Lead senior-level commercial and legal discussions, representing Legal in executive-facing interactions and contributing to broader business strategy.</li>
<li>Provide business-savvy, solution-oriented legal advice on a wide range of issues including commercial transactions, privacy, regulatory, and compliance matters.</li>
<li>Exercise sound judgment in applying and adapting legal playbooks, including where deviations are appropriate based on risk analysis as allowed.</li>
<li>Partner closely with revenue operations, sales operations, deal desk, product, privacy, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with internal policies and risk thresholds.</li>
<li>Drive internal legal initiatives and lead cross-functional projects, including process improvements, training programs, and policy development.</li>
<li>Support, mentor, and help train junior legal team members and new hires, contributing to the growth and maturity of the legal function.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<h3>What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?</h3>
<p>Ideal candidates will have:&nbsp;</p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 8+ years combined experience at a law firm and in-house at a global company drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including good working knowledge of SaaS agreements, technology licensing, strategic deals, and channel agreements (such as resellers, distribution, MSP, etc.). SaaS commercial experience is highly desired. Experience in cybersecurity is a plus.</li>
<li>J.D or an equivalent degree from an accredited law school.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Active license to practice law in the United States.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Good understanding of data protection laws (including GDPR) and experience negotiating DPAs, including CIPP certification, is a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, set priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve complex problems with a thorough understanding of the changing legal needs in a fast-growing business environment</li>
<li>Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and work independently and willingness to be flexible and adaptive in a highly dynamic environment</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to lead and operate in a fast-paced, flexible culture and excel under pressure while maintaining an accountable, collaborative, positive, and pleasant attitude</li>
