Smalt is hiring a Venture Development Manager to scale our partnership model with Meister-led craft businesses, helping trades entrepreneurs grow revenue through a mix of commercial strategy, marketing experiments, and hands-on activation. You’ll work across operations, product, and growth to refine playbooks, automate workflows, and directly impact how Smalt enables thousands of new craft businesses across Europe.
What youll do • Support partner craft businesses to grow their top line through commercial and operational interventions. • Onboard and coach new Meister partners through their first months with Smalt. • Operate and improve key business processes such as offers, invoicing, documentation, and workforce planning. • Analyze partner performance and design interventions to improve conversion, efficiency, and growth. • Build and automate scalable workflows using tools like Attio, Make, and Smalt’s AI stack. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Growth to improve the partner experience. • Translate field insights into product
requirements and data models that inform Smalt’s AI. • Act as a sparring partner to founders and help shape Smalt’s operating playbook. What Smalt is looking for • 3–5 years of experience in tech, operations, consulting, or VC, ideally with exposure to SaaS, field operations, or vertical software. • Highly structured and analytical with strong systems thinking and documentation habits. • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with ownership of partner outcomes. • Fluent in German and English, able to communicate confidently with Meister and business owners. • Comfortable with tools like Attio, Notion, HubSpot, Pipedrive, and automation platforms (Make, Zapier, n8n). •
Bonus: field experience or technical understanding of Elektro, PV, or SHK. • Location: Berlin preferred (hybrid) with occasional field travel across Germany, and authorized to work in Germany.
