The team is focused on training and improving the machine learning models that rank and personalize some of Spotify's most-loved listening experiences, including Radio and Daily Mix. As part of Personalization's broader strategy,
the team is also helping shape the future of generative recommendations by developing and adopting new approaches that leverage large language models, including fine-tuning models to improve the quality, relevance, and personalization of our playlists. As the Engineering Manager, you'll lead a talented team of machine learning, backend and data engineers while providing both technical direction and people leadership, helping
the team deliver innovative ML capabilities that reach millions of listeners every day.
What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of machine learning engineers, creating an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture. Set the technical direction for
the team while partnering with Product, Data Science, and Engineering leaders to deliver impactful machine learning capabilities. Guide the design, development, deployment, and operation of production machine learning systems at scale. Support engineers through technical mentorship, career development, performance management, and regular feedback. Drive execution by helping
