About the role
We are looking for a Director of People Operations & HRBP with 7+ years of experience to be Interface.ai's first People leader in the US. Interface.ai is moving from remote-first to working in person, and the SF office is adding new hires every week. We need a hands-on builder who can turn the CEO's vision into people operations and culture in the office, and who can own it with full autonomy.
What will you be doing?
- Build a standard onboarding playbook covering Day 1, Week 1 and Week 2, plus what success looks like in each role. Today, much of this is tribal knowledge.
- Own US HR operations from end to end, including offer letters, policies, benefits and compliance under federal and California rules.
- Act as the go-to HRBP for SF employees and managers. You'll handle expectations, performance and retention conversations as the office grows from about 15-20 people to 50+.
- Shape the culture in person through events, offsites, rituals and the new SF office space.
- Work closely with the India-based Head of People on talent and people strategy as the company grows toward 200+ employees.
