About the role

What we’re building
Respan is building the self-driving observability and evals platform for AI teams, used by 60+ YC companies and hundreds of AI teams.

The role

You will be the person who talks to customers, understands their pain points, and then builds the features that solve them. This role is equal parts engineering and product thinking. We are looking for someone with strong frontend skills who also cares deeply about the why behind every feature. You will work closely with design, ship polished UI, and iterate based on real usage data.

What you’ll do:

  • Own user-facing features from ideation through launch
  • Talk to customers weekly to understand pain points and validate solutions
  • Build polished, performant UI with React and Next.js
  • Write clear specs and collaborate with the design team on UX
  • Instrument features with analytics and iterate based on usage data

What you must have:

  • Strong frontend skills with TypeScript, React, and modern CSS
  • Excellent product taste and attention to detail
  • Comfortable talking to customers and translating feedback into features

What is nice to have:

  • Experience building developer tools or B2B SaaS products
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or PostHog
  • Experience with user research or customer development processes
  • Background in design or strong visual sensibility
