About the role

Job Description

Implementations at Chariot is a hands-on, customer-facing role: you'll own how nonprofits or grantmakers activate our products, and how they keep getting value from it after they go live. You'll lead onboarding for new partners from the day they sign (and sometimes earlier, on larger or more technical deals) through go-live, then stay close to those accounts as they grow, rolling out new features, tracking how they use the product, and finding where they could get more out of it. Beyond just getting nonprofits and grantmakers live, a key component of this role is learning what’s working for our customers, identifying what's not, and making sure every partner you work with sees real results from Chariot.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, loves working with customers, and knows how to help a team get comfortable with new tools. You'll own your own set of nonprofit or grantmaker accounts and work with the rest of the Implementations team to make each onboarding smoother than the one before.

What you'll do:

  • Run multiple onboardings at once and get each partner to real value as quickly as possible
  • Learn how each nonprofit raises and processes donations and how each grantmaker disburses them, and figure out exactly where Chariot helps them most
  • Become the person their team calls first, and help them get comfortable with new ways of working
  • Set up Chariot to fit how each nonprofit or grantmaker works, and find creative solutions for their unique needs
  • Stay close to your accounts after launch: roll out new features, see how they're using Chariot, and work with Partnerships on what each customer needs next
  • Bring what you hear from customers back to our product team, and help sharpen our playbooks as we scale

👤 About You

  • 2-8+ years in implementation, onboarding, or customer success, ideally at a startup (customer-facing consulting counts too)
  • For those with more years of experience, you’ve demonstrated leadership / management skills, as you’ll help build out our team
  • Given the broad range, compensation will be adjusted based on experience
  • You're very organized and can keep a lot of projects moving at once
  • You've helped customers adopt new tools and processes, and you're comfortable giving honest advice on what will work best for them
  • You move fast, stay calm when things are ambiguous, and take full ownership of your work
  • You're curious and low ego, and you like figuring things out as part of a team
  • You want a long-term career in implementations / customer success
  • APIs, SQL, or fintech/nonprofit experience is a plus, but not required

📚 What you’ll get from Chariot

At Chariot, we are building modern, end-to-end payment infrastructure making donors' lives easier, and nonprofits' lives better. $600B gets donated to charity each year in the US and the existing technology/infrastructure was still built for our grandparents generation. Chariot is here to change that.

  • Traction. Annualizing over $1.8B in payment volume through Chariot. Tens of thousands of nonprofits already onboarded including American Cancer Society, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University of Pennsylvania.
  • Impact: That money services nonprofits working in homelessness, health, education, the environment, and so much more.
  • Market opportunity: Billion dollar revenue opportunity. Fintech company operating in an untapped $600B market
  • The Team. >30% of Charioteers are former founders. NYC office, in-person Monday through Thursday, WFH Friday. The public handbook shows how we operate.
