About the role

Job Description

Chariot has tremendous reach into the nonprofit sector through our fundraising platform and grantmaker partners, and a rapidly expanding base of account users. What we don't have yet is someone focused on making the most of it. That means seeking out engagement opportunities across our partner networks, and making a novel, often complex product clear to the people who use it. Your two goals: maximize enrollment through our partners, and maximize utilization and satisfaction among account holders.

This is a senior, hands-on IC role with two bodies of work. On the product side, you'll own how we communicate with users: product updates, lifecycle emails, and what gets surfaced in the product. You'll also have a seat at the table when new features are named and framed. On the partner side, you'll manage partner go-lives with enrollment goals and keep marketing relationships with key partners active after launch. Much of this is new, so you'll be building it.

What you'll do:

  • Run standing bi-weekly product emails, special announcements, and a monthly power user forum, and track utilization after new features ship

  • Build action-based email comms (a welcome series, milestone celebrations, check-ins when usage drops), with goals for each touchpoint and tracking of their effect

  • Bring product marketing into how things are named, framed, and organized in the product, at the planning stage rather than after

  • Surface other Chariot assets and initiatives (DAF Day, the DAF Fundraising Report, webinars) inside the product at the right times and places

  • Manage partner go-lives with clear goals for Chariot enrollment

  • Keep marketing relationships with key partners active after go-live, finding ongoing engagement and activation opportunities

  • Lead external webinars with fundraising platform and DAF partners

👤 About You

  • 8-10+ years in marketing, with real product marketing behind you, ideally B2B or technical

  • You've worked closely with product teams and built a deep technical understanding of what you market

  • Excellent communicator and strong writer. You turn complex topics into clear, digestible updates

  • High user empathy: you can lead user forums and interviews and turn them into actionable takeaways

  • Analytical: every change has a goal, and you track whether it landed

  • Strong relationship manager, able to build and keep relationships with marketing contacts at top partners

  • Nice to have: you're a builder yourself and can prototype product features for marketing

  • Not needed: design, growth, SEO, or paid ads expertise, as you'll have support on these fronts

📚 What you’ll get from Chariot

At Chariot, we are building modern, end-to-end payment infrastructure making donors' lives easier, and nonprofits' lives better. $600B gets donated to charity each year in the US and the existing technology/infrastructure was still built for our grandparents generation. Chariot is here to change that.

  • Traction. Annualizing over $1.8B in payment volume through Chariot. Tens of thousands of nonprofits already onboarded including American Cancer Society, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University of Pennsylvania.

  • Impact: That money services nonprofits working in homelessness, health, education, the environment, and so much more.

  • Market opportunity: Billion dollar revenue opportunity. Fintech company operating in an untapped $600B market

  • The Team. >30% of Charioteers are former founders. NYC office, in-person Monday through Thursday, WFH Friday. The public handbook shows how we operate.

❤️ Employee Benefits

  • 🏥 Healthcare: Comprehensive healthcare, including options that are 100% covered by Chariot for you

  • 🌴 Time-Off: 18 days PTO and 13 holidays - take the time off that you want and need to relax and recharge

  • 👶 Parental Leave: 100% paid parental leave, including 12 weeks for primary caregivers

  • 🍽️ Team Lunches: Weekly team lunches

  • 🌯 Dinner on Chariot: Free dinner every day at office past 8pm

  • 🎉 Team Events: Monthly team building events

  • 💎 Employee-friendly equity: 2 year exercise window and double-trigger acceleration

  • 😎 Company Retreats: To get away - we all convene 2-3x / year company retreats

  • 🎁 Matching Gifts: Matching DAFs and daily charitable giving through GoodToday
