The Industrial Engineer supports manufacturing operations by improving productivity, efficiency, and cost performance. This role focuses on analyzing processes, optimizing labor, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume production environment. My Role: Analyze production processes to identify improvement opportunities. Conduct time studies, line balancing, and labor optimization. Develop and maintain standard work and labor standards. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities. Monitor productivity, efficiency, and quality performance metrics. Support cost reduction and waste elimination projects. Assist with production layout, material flow, and ergonomic improvements. Support quality problem-solving and corrective action activities. Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. Support new product launches, volume changes, and process updates. Prepare basic reports and documentation for management and audits. My Background: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field. 2 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing or maquiladora operations. Knowledge of basic Industrial Engineering tools (time studies, line balancing). Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Basic to intermediate Excel and data analysis skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. English fluent Preferred
Qualifications Experience in automotive, electronics, or medical manufacturing. Six Sigma Green Belt (or working toward certification). Experience with ERP or production systems.
