Job Description The Automotive Technician II is a mid-level technician responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services for fleet vehicles. This role emphasizes exceptional customer satisfaction while ensuring cost-effective service delivery. The technician may work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Minimum
Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record Minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience Ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (tools and equipment) Key
Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance services, including: Oil changes Oil, fuel, and transmission filter replacements Transmission flushes Inspections for mechanical deficiencies Execute light repairs as required based on inspection findings Perform repairs and maintenance based on certification level, including: OBD II systems Brake systems Tire services Tune-ups Suspension components Aerial lift systems Electrical systems State safety inspections Interior and exterior components Engine and drivetrain components Maintain and repair equipment such as: Cable trailers Laptop docking stations Assist with more complex repairs and advanced diagnostics as needed Perform moderate fabrication tasks, including: Equipment design Welding and custom modifications Troubleshoot and repair specialized fleet systems, including: Hydraulic systems Generators Electrical systems Hybrid vehicle systems Onboard computer systems Ensure operational readiness and availability of specialized fleet vehicles Preferred
Qualifications At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred Ability to obtain a minimum of four (4) ASE certifications within 18 months of employment Ongoing commitment to training and development to maintain ASE certifications and stay current with evolving automotive technologies YDGCOX Drug Testing To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Benefits Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
