About the role
Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of runtime infrastructure for Azure Managed Redis, a rapidly growing Azure data service. Design and build deployment, upgrade, and orchestration systems for distributed Redis clusters running across Azure regions worldwide. Integrate Redis Enterprise software into Azure's managed environment while maintaining high availability, data consistency, security, and performance. Develop platform capabilities that improve scalability, operational efficiency, deployment safety, and service reliability. Write high-quality, production-grade code in languages such as C# and Go while following best practices for maintainability, testing, and operational excellence. Design and implement testing strategies with coverage across unit, integration, and end-to-end scenarios for distributed systems. Apply AI-assisted engineering tools and techniques to improve developer productivity, troubleshooting, operational workflows, and service quality. Build and enhance observability, monitoring, and diagnostics capabilities to enable efficient incident detection and root cause analysis. Drive improvements in reliability, supportability, and operational excellence across the service. Collaborate across engineering teams to deliver complex technical initiatives and shared platform capabilities. Mentor and support engineers by sharing knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and software engineering best practices. Embody our culture and values. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. These
requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screening: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience building and operating distributed, highly scalable online services on Kubernetes in Azure or a similar cloud platform. Experience using AI-assisted development tools, large language models, or automation technologies to improve software engineering workflows, developer productivity, testing, documentation, or operational efficiency. Demonstrated ability to improve engineering systems, developer productivity, service reliability, or product quality at scale.
