We are looking for a Chief of Staff with 0–5 years of experience to serve as a force multiplier for the CEO at a fast-growing legal tech startup that's already closing multi-million dollar deals with elite law firms just 10 months after launch. You'll be the first non-technical hire on a 7-person team, owning everything that isn't code — from operations and compliance to customer communications and finance — with a direct path to a senior leadership role as the company scales.
What will you be doing?
Own end-to-end work streams for the CEO — compliance, insurance, vendor management, invoicing, and anything else that needs to get done
Serve as connective tissue between customers and the engineering team, synthesizing product feedback and relaying requirements
Handle internal operations: hiring support, process building, scheduling, and keeping the business running smoothly
Manage external-facing customer communications and represent the CEO in meetings when needed
Use tools like Claude Code and PostHog to support lightweight technical tasks and analytics setup
Key Requirements
Extremely high agency — can pick up ambiguous work streams and drive them to completion with minimal context or direction
Background in consulting, investment banking, biz ops at a startup, or a top business school (undergrad or MBA)
Comfortable with AI/coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) — not writing production code, but able to get hands dirty when needed
Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco and work in-office full-time (6 days/week, startup hours)
Strong judgment and discretion — you'll be making calls independently with limited oversight
A network for entrepreneurs building in stealth. Submit your information here so investors can find you:harmonic.ai/get-discovered
