Backend Engineer - LATAM

What you’ll do

• You’ll be a core member of our team and work on every part of the stack to accelerate our product growth and development

• Build great products that add value to our business customers

• Plan the project, generate estimates & discuss business oriented task prioritization

• Generate an opinion for the best UX, participate on the product design

• Keep good quality backend code

• Solve end-to-end problems

• Test your code (e.g. writing unit-tests and API-integration tests)

• Adapt your solutions on the startup needs and stage

• Adopt agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our applications

• Lead and couch other less experienced Software engineers

What we seek

• 2+ years of professional experience building web products and services

• Solid software architecture skills

• Strong computer science fundamentals

• Capability to write good quality code, scalable and at a fast speed

• Good understanding of how the web works and how to keep the app secure

• Ability to adapt and work on an continuously evolving environment

• Communicate complex ideas in a simple way

• Strong desire to learn and to grow

• Spanish speaker

Nice to have

• BS (or greater) in Computer Science or alike

• 5+ years of professional experience on web development

• Fintech experience

• Ruby, AWS

• Ability to also develop in front end (Javascript, React)

• Fluent in English
