About the role
Nation Graph is building something that has never been done before – a quantitative intelligence layer across more than 110,000 fragmented public agencies, journals, and government bodies. Think Bloomberg, but for the public sector. We scrape, parse, and structure an enormous volume of qualitative data – PDFs, press releases, town hall recordings, budgets, contracts – and turn it into the kind of signals and predictions that were previously only available to hedge funds and institutional finance.
As our senior infrastructure and backend engineer, you will own the systems that make this possible at scale. That means the databases, authentication, cybersecurity, and the full web application infrastructure that our ML/AI team builds on top of. You will work directly with our CTO to ensure our systems can handle rapid growth in usage, and you will take on increasing responsibility for the engineers around you as the team grows.

NationGraph is building the AI-native procurement platform for the public sector. Trillions of dollars flow through state, local, and education government every year, but the data that drives those purchases (purchase orders, board minutes, budgets, RFPs, procurement rules, legislation, etc) is buried in millions of unstructured files and portals. Vendors who should win contracts often never see them. Constituents get worse products as a result.
We use LLMs to turn that mess into a real-time, structured map across 100,000+ government entities, and pair it with automated workflows that move sales teams from prospecting blind to closing deals weeks faster. It's a system of intelligence and a system of action, built end-to-end.
We're a Series A company led by Menlo Ventures, XYZ, Perplexity Fund, Reach Capital and incredible angel investors. Our founding team came out of Ramp and Citadel.
We're hiring exceptional people across engineering, data science, AI & ML, and go-to-market.
