Mechanical Engineer (India)

Pune, Maharashtra
Full-time
Visa Sponsorship

About the role

We're building foundational models for general purpose manipulation. Our data infrastructure allows us to generate rich, multi-modal human demonstration data at exponential scale.

We are using this data to train general-purpose manipulation models that work reliably across tasks, objects, and robot embodiments. We are live in deployment across multiple verticals.

As a mechanical engineer, you'll own the mechanical design of our custom data collection hardware - first-of-its-kind wearable instruments for collecting the highest quality robotics data.

What you'll do:

  • Design and iterate on our wearable data collection hardware, from CAD to 3D-printed parts
  • Apply GD&T to make designs manufacturable and repeatable across units
  • Maintain and manage the sensor hardware fleet
  • Root-cause data quality problems that trace back to hardware

You should have:

  • Proficiency in CAD, Onshape specifically - you can design, iterate, and prepare parts for fabrication
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing - printer setup, tolerances, and material selection
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Strong prototyping instinct - comfortable disassembling, testing, and rebuilding hardware
  • Proof of decision-making with incomplete information

Our culture is built on honesty and willingness to fail fast. If you see yourself fitting here, please apply.
