We are looking for a Contract Manufacturing Manager with 3–10 years of experience to own the end-to-end relationship with our international contract manufacturing partners as we scale from prototype to production. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and manufacturing, ensuring our AI-designed, additively printed heat exchangers get built on time, on spec, and on budget — primarily with partners in China. This is a high-autonomy ops role at a seed-stage company where the playbook doesn't exist yet and you'll be the one writing it. You'll report directly to the VP of Operations and be among the first ten hires at a company backed by strong investor interest and working with major data center OEMs.
What will you be doing?
Manage the daily operational relationship with international contract manufacturers (primarily China-based), including scheduling, milestone tracking, issue escalation, capacity planning, and navigating 12–15 hour time zone gaps and cultural differences
Serve as the bridge between Phasic's engineering team and the contract manufacturer — facilitating resolution of build issues, ensuring designs are printable, and keeping both sides aligned without injecting yourself as the engineer
Build production systems, quality gates, documentation, and processes from scratch as the company transitions from one-off prototypes to thousands of units
Negotiate production costs with granular visibility into the cost stack and track production KPIs (yield, cycle time, on-time delivery, cost per unit) to leadership
Translate everything learned from the contract manufacturing relationship — process capability, failure modes, cost drivers — into requirements that will inform Phasic's future domestic factory buildout
Phasic designs thermal hardware powered by Flux, our platform for advanced multiphysics inference and AI. Today, we build heat exchangers that deliver performance conventional engineering can't match — purpose-built for data centers, defense, and heavy industry.
