About the role
Pond is a pioneering crypto AI startup developing a decentralized platform for building foundational machine learning models on blockchains. We are at the forefront of integrating AI and blockchain technologies, revolutionizing how ML models are created, shared, and utilized within the Web3 ecosystem. Backed by multiple Tier 1 VCs—including Archetype (Series A lead for Ritual), Cyber Fund (Lido founder’s venture arm and an early backer of Ethereum and Solana), Coinbase Ventures, Delphi Digital, and others—Pond is positioned for significant growth. We collaborate with industry-leading figures such as Vitalik Buterin and are now seeking a COO with a growth background based in NYC. We are looking for a versatile COO whose values align with ours to join our highly innovative and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in blockchain, AI, and crypto markets, along with a strong network of investors and projects within these ecosystems. As a key executive in a leading crypto AI project, you will be the driving force behind our business strategy and operations. Given the strategic and potentially co-founding nature of this role, specific requirements are flexible. However, we are seeking someone with:
• Experience at a Tier 1 VC (preferred) • Experience with a token launch (preferred) • A background in crypto-native growth • Proven leadership experience in a successful early-stage crypto startup • Strong industry connections and a high degree of resourcefulness • A comprehensive understanding of all stages of a crypto startup lifecycle, including fundraising, recruitment, product management, and scaling • Knowledge of AI • Based in New York
