About the role
The Senior Silicon Validation Engineer will be responsible for validation and qualification of integrated circuits (silicon ICs) as per
requirements driven by product definition. The ideal candidate will be a critical member of the Validation team that is responsible for qualification of solid-state connectors that encompass industrial/mechanical design, high-speed electrical interfaces. He/she will create/edit test plans and execute on these plans on a strict time schedule. \n Role and Responsibility Work with a team of validation and characterization engineers responsible for product qualification. Lead the silicon validation efforts including creating/editing test plans as per product
requirements. Work with the design team for new products validation and characterization, create test and characterization reports Review and/or create schematics/layout of test platforms as per product
requirements. Create and maintain measurement automation platforms Software development and debugging experience in Python, LabView and other scripting languages Ability to develop test scripts that control test equipment for determining IC device characteristics; ability to create test equipment drivers in Python Familiarity with test equipment, including oscilloscope, sampling scope, BERT (including CDR), protocol analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and other basic equipment Create/edit test plans based on system specifications that may relate to signal integrity, RF, mechanical integrity, electrical, and
requirements based on generic protocols. Execute and stand behind the qualification of the product, from a mass production perspective, in consumer electronic devices
Qualifications and Experience BSEE Required, MSEE Preferred 3+ years of product validation and characterization experience for consumer/enterprise applications. Validation and characterization experience of at least 1 of the high-speed protocols- USB3.0; PCIe 2/3; DisplayPort; HDMI; SATA/SAS; MIPI, GMSL, Ethernet, LPDDR4/5 Team player with interest in filing up gaps in product development, as needed. \n
