We are looking for a Product Manager with 2–6 years of experience to serve as the connective tissue between engineering and GTM at Govly — a fast-moving, AI-accelerated GovTech startup. You'll partner directly with the CTO/Founder to ensure engineers are always building the right things, translating customer and sales signal into a clear, prioritized roadmap. This is a high-ownership, low-process role built for someone who thrives in ambiguity and loves to build.
What will you be doing?
Partner with the CTO/Founder to define what to build, validate priorities, and keep engineering focused on the highest-impact work
Own product verticals end-to-end — from discovery and scoping through delivery and internal communication of what's shipped
Translate signal from sales and customer conversations into roadmap decisions and clear narratives for GTM teams
Manage expectations both upstream (founder/CTO) and downstream (sales, CX, engineering) without heavy process overhead
Contribute hands-on — writing tickets, building prototypes or mockups using AI-native tools, and staying close to the codebase
Key Requirements
PM experience at a YC-backed or well-funded B2B startup (close to the founder/GTM loop) — OR an early-career APM from FAANG (1–2 yrs max) hungry for startup ownership
Can demonstrate something built in the last 6 months — code, prototype, side project, or AI-native artifact (v0, Cursor, Figma Make, etc.)
Comfortable speccing in artifacts (wireframes, user flows, mockups) — not just written docs
Able to reason about technical architecture and engineering tradeoffs without needing translation
Based in the US and able to travel to SF or Santa Cruz for in-person final rounds
Govly is building the AI workforce for government contracting. We were part of YC in the summer of 2021, raised our Series A in 2023 led by Insight Partners and planning our next funding round now.
