About the role
We are looking for a Platform Engineer with 4+ years of experience to own Govly's entire infrastructure surface area and lead a high-stakes deployment into the U.S. Army's network via SecondFront's Game Warden (DoD IL5/AWS GovCloud). This is a founding platform role at a fast-moving GovTech startup — you'll be the person who makes it happen, not someone who manages others doing it.
What will you be doing?

Lead the full deployment of Govly's application into SecondFront's Game Warden platform (DoD IL5 environment on AWS GovCloud)

Own all infrastructure end-to-end: CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes/Helm), monitoring, and platform reliability

Drive a full migration to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi, or equivalent)

Make application-level changes required for Game Warden deployability — logging, secrets handling, health checks, Iron Bank base images, air-gapped builds

Handle security and compliance work including SOC 2 technical controls and pen test remediation
Key Requirements

Hands-on experience with on-prem deployments — not just cloud-native CI/CD monitoring

Strong AWS fluency and production Kubernetes experience (Helm, GitOps, container security)

IaC proficiency: Terraform, CDK, Pulumi, or Crossplane
