Technical Recruiter

We are looking for a Technical Recruiter with 2+ years of experience to join AfterQuery as one of the first recruiting hires and own end-to-end hiring for engineering and technical roles at one of the fastest-growing AI companies in YC history. You'll partner directly with the founders to build the recruiting function from the ground up, sourcing world-class talent from AI labs, quant firms, big tech, and elite universities.

What will you be doing?

• Own full-cycle recruiting for software engineering, infrastructure, applied AI, and product engineering roles

• Build high-quality outbound sourcing pipelines targeting top technical talent from AI labs, quant firms, and high-growth startups

• Partner directly with founders on hiring strategy, role calibration, interview design, and closing

• Create a high-touch, fast-moving candidate experience that reflects AfterQuery's talent bar and culture

• Build the foundation of the recruiting function — systems, workflows, templates, and talent market maps

Key Requirements

• 2+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup, AI company, or technical recruiting agency

• Proven track record sourcing, engaging, and closing strong engineering candidates in competitive markets

• Experience building outbound sourcing pipelines from scratch

• Strong understanding of technical roles across software engineering, infrastructure, full-stack, and applied AI

• High agency and comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
