Why we need you As a Engineering Manager, you’ll be a critical multiplier on our technical team — leading high-performing engineers, shaping our engineering culture, and ensuring we ship robust, scalable systems. You’ll play a hands-on role in both people leadership and technical execution, helping
the team navigate complex architecture, rapid iteration cycles, and customer-driven development in a fast-moving environment. You’ll be responsible for growing
the team, ensuring technical excellence, and helping us deliver high-impact products that directly improve patient access to life-saving therapies. What you’ll do Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building core platform functionality and AI workflows Partner closely with Product, Design, and Forward Deployed Engineering to prioritize work and drive execution Maintain a high bar for technical design, system architecture, and engineering quality Help scale our engineering culture and team through recruiting, onboarding, and performance development Foster a fast-paced but sustainable environment where engineers are empowered to do their best work Contribute to strategic planning and help shape Mandolin’s technical roadmap as we expand into new verticals Must-have experience 5+ years of engineering management experience in a fast-paced environment Track record of leading teams that ship complex, production-grade systems Strong technical background with the ability to go deep in backend systems, infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and customer-facing teams Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills in ambiguous, fast-changing contexts Nice-to-haves Experience at an early-stage startup or in the healthcare/healthtech space Exposure to LLMs, agent frameworks, and AI infrastructure Familiarity with modern cloud platforms, data pipelines, and secure integrations in regulated environments Strong opinions on team processes, and the humility to evolve them as the company scales
