About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with 7+ years of experience who cares about craft and can turn some of the densest, highest-stakes workflows in financial services into experiences that are easy to use and earn users' trust. You'll own design end-to-end for a core area of Loancrate's AI-native loan origination platform. Your work will help lenders get closer to fully automated mortgage origination.
What will you be doing?
- Owning design end-to-end for a core product area, from early discovery through high-fidelity Figma design, working closely with Product and Engineering
- Leading customer discovery and usability sessions, then turning what you learn into design decisions
- Designing clear UX patterns for multi-step automation workflows, data-dense tables and high-stakes decision screens
- Designing AI-native experiences, including uncertainty states, ways for users to step in, streaming content and graceful error handling
- Building and maintaining Figma component libraries and design system assets that grow with the product
Key Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on product design experience at a senior level, with a strong product (not brand or strategy) focus
- A portfolio showing high-craft visual and interaction design, ideally with dense layouts and multi-step workflows
- Deep Figma skills: variables, auto-layout, variants, prototyping and component library hygiene
- Experience working inside established product design teams, not mainly as a solo designer
- A formal degree, and the ability to work remotely within US time zones
